Lutheran Order of service in isiZulu/seTswana

Good_shepherd_iconThe Lutheran Order of Service for the 2nd Sunday after Easter (Misericoridas Domini) is available here in isiZulu and seTswana. Today it comes with a sermon based on God’s word from the Letter to the Hebrews in the thirteenth chapter the verses 20-21 written by missionary Peter Weber (LC in Ohlangeni, KZN) in isiZulu (wz1426140427 Kwasimodogeniti) and translated as usual seTswana (wt1427130504 Miserikordia Domini) by my father Rev. E.A.W.Weber DD (Welbedacht, KZN).

The readings for this Sunday are:

Old Testament:       Ezekiel 34:1-2(3-9)10-16.31

The Epistle:            1Peter 2:21b-25

The Gospel:            John 10:11-16(27-30)

The liturgical colour is white.

 

May you have a very blessed weekend and have time to meditate on the watchword for this week. Our Lord Jesus Christ says: “I am the good shepherd. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.  (Joh 10:11.27-28 NIV)

If you are called to preach this weekend, may the triune God give you joy and strength, enthusiasm and wisdom, knowledge and insight – and the true words and pictures to preach his holy will faithfully according to his most precious revelation of his will and promises in both the Old and New Testament! However if you are not preaching, but listening – then listen as if God is talking to you + His precious gospel is “the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” (Rom 1:16 NIV)

Today it comes with a sermon based on God’s word from the prophet Isaiah in the fortieth  chapter the verses 26-31 written by Pastor M.N. Mntambo (LTS in Tshwane, GP) in isiZulu (wz1426140427 Kwasimodogeniti) and translated as usual seTswana (wt1426140427 Kwasimodogeniti) by my father Rev. E.A.W.Weber DD (Welbedacht, KZN).

The readings for this Sunday are:

Collect:Almighty God, grant that we who have celebrated the Lord’s resurrection may by Your grace confess in our life and conversation that Jesus is Lord and God; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
