Lutheran Order of Service in Zulu and Tswana

Trinity iconThe Lutheran Order of Service for the high holiday of the most holy Trinity (Trinitatis) is available here in isiZulu and seTswana. Today it comes with a sermon based on God’s word from the 2nd letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians chapter 13 verses 11 (12) 13 written by my father Rev. E.A.W.Weber DD (Welbedacht, KZN) in both isiZulu (wz1434140616 umkhosi wobuThathwemunye) and seTswana (wt1434140615 moletlo wa borarobongwe).

The readings for this Sunday are:

Old Testament:                 Isaiah 6:1-13

The Epistle:                         Romans 11:33-36

The Gospel:                        John 3:1-8 (9-15)

The liturgical colour is white.

May you have a very blessed weekend and have time to meditate on the watchword for this week: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” (Isa 6:3 NIV)

Collect for the Holiday of the most holy Trinity: Almighty and everlasting God, You have given us grace to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity by the confession of a true faith and to worship the Unity in the power of the Divine Majesty. Keep us steadfast in this faith and defend us from all adversities; for You, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, live and reign, one God, now and forever. (Pastoral Care Companion Pg. 562)

If you are called to preach this weekend, may the triune God give you joy and strength, enthusiasm and wisdom, knowledge and insight – and the true words and pictures to preach his holy will faithfully according to his most precious revelation of his will and promises in both the Old and New Testament! However if you are not preaching, but listening – then listen as if God is talking to you + His precious gospel is “the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” (Rom 1:16 NIV)

We thank the Lutheran Heritage Foundation for supporting the distribution of hard-copies of these orders of worship and sermons throughout Southern Africa. If you also want a copy please do not hesitate to subscribe by writing to mailto:eawweber@bundunet.co.za
