Ukrainians grateful to be safe in Wittenberg

Two Ukrainian refugees Liubov  Sachenko and Margaryta Goltzeva are active members of the Ukrainian Lutheran Church in Wittenberg. Some time ago, they started a Drama Club for teenagers and adults here in town.

Last Friday (March 3) they invited local citizenry to a performance commemorating a year of the Russian war against Ukraine. They honor the soldiers who gave up their lives to fight for the freedom of their country and in support of all the millions of refugees.

The program included mini-plays, Ukrainian songs, and poems recital. They gave thanks to the people of Wittenberg, Saxony-Anhalt (Germany) for their constant support as they try to cope far away from home.

Thank You to Natalia Zubrytska for sharing this event.
