Applying for a licence… (2003)

In 2003 I applied for a licence to own a shotgun. Part of the application was a biography of the applicant to describe his proficiency with the shotgun, hunting ethics and the like. This is was I wrote then: 2003 Application for licence 0307

  1. You have a colorful heritage w/ hunting. Even though I live in the Midwest of the US, each year we face more invasive gun laws. Your story reminded me of an Ensign used by my father for whitetail deer hunting. Its not original, but was “sporterized” circa 1960 with non-military stock. Its not pretty, but a very effective 30-06. More importantly, it was his. Enough said. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
