Lutheran Order of service in isiZulu/seTswana

isakreuzThe Lutheran Order of Service for Good Friday is available here in isiZulu, seTswana and English. Today it comes with my sermon based on God’s word from the prophet Isaiah 52,13-53,12 (2014 Good Friday Is52,13-53,12) and translated as usual in isiZulu (wz1424140418 usuku lokukhumbula ukubethelwa nokufa kweNkosi) and seTswana (wt1424 140418 Good Friday Tsw scanned) by my father Rev. E.A.W.Weber DD (Welbedacht, KZN).

The readings for this Good Friday are:

Old Testament:       Isaiah 52:13-53:12

The Epistle:            2.Cor.5: (14b-18) 19-21

The Gospel:            John 19:16-30

The liturgical colour is purple or black or no vestments at all.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (Joh 3:16 NIV)

If you are called to preach this weekend, may the triune God give you joy and strength, enthusiasm and wisdom, knowledge and insight – and the true words and pictures to preach his holy will faithfully according to his most precious revelation of his will and promises in both the Old and New Testament! However if you are not preaching, but listening – then listen as if God is talking to you + His precious gospel is “the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” (Rom 1:16 NIV)

We thank the Lutheran Heritage Foundation for supporting the distribution of hard-copies of these orders of worship and sermons throughout Southern Africa. If you also want a copy please do not hesitate to subscribe by writing to
