And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:10 NIV)

Losung und Lehrtext für Samstag, den 20. Oktober 2012

Es ist niemand heilig wie der HERR, außer dir ist keiner. (1.Samuel 2,2) And that’s a fact – even if we learn from the same Lord and God: “You are to be holy like I am holy”. Who can live up to that standard with God’s righteousness, sanctity and perfection. If you sin at one, you’re guilty of all and even on our best days we are but poor, miserable sinners – not fit to stand before the most holy God of all – the Lord Zebaoth – Jesus Christ is his name and he’s the Judge of all! And there is no partiality on his part – no favoritism, bribes or ways around his eternal law. That’s the reason why in the sight of the law we are lost, sure to be condemned and as that hopeless cases. Yet, and that was Martin Luther’s message, which he had not come up with, but which God himself revealed to him by the gracious gift of the Holy Spirit and opening up the true understanding of the holy scriptures from the very beginning. So Luther was converted very much like the apostle St. Paul to believe and trust by God’s grace that God’s holiness is of such a nature that he makes us holy too. He draws us to himself by his gracious and most merciful holiness covering our sins with the precious blood Jesus and grants us forgiveness of all our sins and iniquities. Jesus Christ is the lamb of God, that carries the sins of the world, so that everybody who believes and trusts in him, will not be lost, but has eternal life and blessed salvation + Therefore it is true: “Einen andern Grund kann niemand legen als den, der gelegt ist, welcher ist Jesus Christus.” (1.Korinther 3,11) There is no other way to the Father and into heaven, but in Jesus Christ. He is the source, means and end of our salvation – the be all and end all, everything is found in him. Praise be to his holy name + Amen, Amen + Thanks to you Lord Jesus Christ – our God and our salvation.
