After Good Friday and the commemoration of death and burial of Christ, the new creation is celebrated worldwide. God has made everything new. The old is past, behold everything is new now. This is a miracle before our very eyes. Jubilation and exultation erupts: Te Deum laudamus …

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3,16)
The godly messengers dressed in white proclaim the good news of Jesus victory over devil, sin and death: “He is no longer here. He is risen. He lives and you shall live also!” This is the turning point in history. Death no longer reigns, but the living Christ and the Holy Spirit, the giver of life! Liberation and salvation are no longer just catchphrases, but filled with divine reality of everlasting life in godliness and righteousness. Thanks be to God, the creator and keeper of life +
The Churches are decorated in splendour – glorification of the light which has overcome the darkness and shadow of death. Flowers, eggs, bunnies and lots of sweets celebrate the new life of abundance God has revealed to his people. There are no stops to the elaborate melodies and no end to the Hallelujah’s sung by those liberated from fear and the claws of death for Christ is risen from the dead – he’s risen indeed. Hallelujah, Hallelujah + Rejoice and be glad – for he, who was dead is now alive and shall die nevermore. He has brought light and eternal light to the fore through the gospel. Hallelujah!
