Lutheran Order of service in isiZulu/seTswana and English

henThe Lutheran Order of Service for the 10th Sunday after Trinity is available here in isiZulu, seTswana and English. Today it comes with my English sermon (2014 10SaT 2Ki25,8-12) based on God’s word from 2.Ki 25:8-12 and translated both into seTswana (wt1444140824 n tr 10) and isiZulu (wz1444140824 n Tr 10) by my father Rev. E.A.W.Weber DD (Welbedacht, KZN).

The readings for this 10th Sunday after Trinity are:

Old Testament:       2.Ki 25:8-12 or Exodus 19:1-6

The Epistle:            Romans 9:1-8.14-16

The Gospel:            St. Luke 19:41-48/Mark 12:28-34

Psalm:                    106:4.5a.47a(48a)

The liturgical colour is green.

May you have a very blessed weekend and have time to meditate on the watchword for this week: Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance. (Psa 33:12 NIB)

O God, You declare Your almighty power above all in showing mercy and pity. Mercifully grant us such a measure of Your grace that we may obtain Your gracious promises and be made partakers of Your heavenly treasures; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

If you are called to preach this weekend, may the triune God give you joy and strength, enthusiasm and wisdom, knowledge and insight – and the true words and pictures to preach his holy will faithfully according to his most precious revelation of his will and promises in both the Old and New Testament! However if you are not preaching, but listening – then listen as if God is talking to you + His precious gospel is “the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” (Rom 1:16 NIV)

We thank the Lutheran Heritage Foundation for supporting the distribution of hard-copies of these orders of worship and sermons throughout Southern Africa. If you also want a copy please do not hesitate to subscribe by writing to EAWWeber@bundunet.co.za.
