It’s troublesome, but read it anyway. Mosibudi Mangena concludes his article in today’s “Pretoria News”:
“Although worrying, the South African political space is still open to allow citizens to mobilize one another in order to move the country in the right direction, away from the path to ruin. A failed state or one in turmoil is no joke; ask Zimbabweans or Somalis, if you want to know.”
South Africa – a failed state? Troubling prospects indeed, even if it’s becoming more and more a common perception. And who can blame those that share this view. There are more people dependent on state support than people earning their own living. More than 25% unemployment and that’s being conservative – and Mangena adds even more reasons.
