Magic of the bushveld

Having read “Soul of an Ant” and “Soul of an Ape” some years ago, I was again intrigued by the fascinating figure of Eugene Marais, when “my” bookshop up the road offered his collected works at a real bargain a short while ago. Author(s): Eugene N. MaraisLeon Rousseau Published by Human & Rousseau (Pty) Ltd. This was published on the 16 April in 2006 and the two volumes have 648 pages (EAN: 9780798146098)

Well, now the film “Die wonderwerker” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c7T_5kdx2o) has been showing and rekindling interest. Here is a short curriculum vitae by the afrikaans author Chris Barnard (http://www.litnet.co.za/Article/eugne-marais-1871-1936-n-lewensoorsig)and another more serious piece by Dr. Sandra Swart from the University of Stellenbosch giving some insights into the background and workings of this famous Afrikaaner of a century ago: bushveldmagic.
