“As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him” Ps. 103,13

The 14th Sunday after Trinity has the watchword from Psalm 103 verse 2: “Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits... ” and the Hallelujah verse verse 13: “As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.”

This is a very fitting passage as Rev. Bheki Ngobese is to be installed as pastor of the Lutheran Church in Salem, Mpumalanga and Rev. Martin Paul at St. Pauls, Arcadia (Pretoria) on this Sunday.

The sermon for this Sunday is based on St. Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians 1,2-10 and was written by Rev. E.A.W.Weber in isiZulu (wz1244120909 n Tr 14) and translated in seTswana by him also (wt1244120909 n Tr 14).
