Bagsters Daily Light for July 26, 2012 – Thursday Morning

By faith Abraham … obeyed.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.  ¹

 He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah ²

“He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions, the LORD alone guided him, no foreign god was with him. ³

 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go. ⁴

 Behold, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher like him? ⁵

 for we walk by faith, not by sight.  ⁶

 For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.  ⁷

 Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.  ⁸

 Arise and go, for this is no place to rest, because of uncleanness that destroys with a grievous destruction. ⁹
