God is my joy and pleasure…

1. God is my joy and pleasure, yes all in all is he! He is my bliss forever – that is my song of glee. With gladness I’ll be singing his praises here and there In lovely hymns rejoicing, his goodness is our fare.

2.  Sin’s fatal grip controlled me, had struck me with dooms rod, But now I‘m saved completely by Jesus son of God Salvation was his one goal when he died on the cross There’s hope for every poor soul as he rose without loss

3. Our sin is now forgiven and covered oh so fine Can’t shame us now or ever, God’s grace is on the line.  I am now quite resplendent in garments just divine Laced with forgiveness splendid, his grace and mercies mine.

4. Therefore I will now thank him, proclaim his blessed renown With joy and honor bearing his precious jewelled crown. He is my dear beloved and lets me stand up tall Before God’s throne and judgment free as before the fall.
